Description; A dry red, ruby in colour with a touch of garnet. Ripe red fruits, vanilla spice and floral aromas on the nose followed with red berries, vanilla, subtle oak and cocoa topped with a velvety finish.
The grapes for this wine are grown and harvested by hand from the Barbera Del Monferrato region and are typically from vines aged between 30 and 40 years old.
Producer profile; Quality, personality and great wines. This is the ethos of the Il Rocchin and the Zerbo family, the founders of the estate. Bruno along with his sons, have always put the territory at the center of there endeavours with the aim of championing the history and culture related to both their grapes and the region. The estate extends over 100 hectares, 44 of those are planted with vines dedicated to Barbera and Gavi. The latter, also known as "Cortese di Gavi", is of historical importance and is named for the city where it shows its best characteristics grown in the local soil.
