Producer Profile; More than six generations of the Louw family, have practiced their art with skill and passsion at Diemersdalsince the estate passed into their hands in 1885. More than twelve decades later, Diemersdal is a well known landmark in the lush Durbanville Valley and one of the Cape's oldest wine regions.
The grapes are grown under dryland conditions, with no irrigation, which allows them to uniformly ripen and develop concentrated flavours with more varietal expression due to the established and firmer root structure.
They are credited with numerous sustainibility and fair labour accreditations along with being a WWF Conservation Champion, for their role in re-establishing conservation areas for endangered plants and vegetation in the country.
