Ageing; Fermented in stainless steel
Structure; Light- bodied, fruit-driven yet structured red
Food pairing ideas; Pinot Noir is a great wine for pairing with food. It is one of the lightest-bodied red varietals, with ample fruit, spice and earthiness. It easily breaks the rules that only white wines can go with fish and red with steak. Try with roasted duck, or paella.
Description;
The Crusher Pinot Noir is dramatically ripe with aromatics of orchid blossom, pomegranate, cherry pie and a touch of smoke. It’s an elegant Pinot with silky texture and crisp acidity typical of grapes grown in cool-climate regions. Delicious flavours of black raspberry, cranberry and strawberry rhubarb are married with Chai spice and smoky oak influences that linger through the finish.
Producer Profile:
The Crusher Wines are a testament to an enduring partnership between the winemaking tradition of the Sebastiani family and the Wilsons, a respected grape-growing family with deep roots in Clarksburg, California. Fittingly named for the point in the winemaking process where the fruit of one family’s labours literally gives way to those of the other, The Crusher wines highlight the vibrancy and beauty of the fruit produced in the up-and-coming Clarksburg appellation
