Description; Mandarin and peach fruit on the nose is balanced by distinctive honeyed citrus fruits, this is delicious. Produced from two Piwi varieties which are naturally resistant to powdery and downy mildew and so Francois and Vincent do not have to spray copper or sulphur on the vines to prevent the fungal disease. This wine is at the forefront of modern winemaking and tastes great.
Producer Profile; La Colombette was born in 1890 when Louis Pugibet a blacksmith, fell in love with a winemaker and she gave him his first hectare as a gift for the marriage. Four generations later Francois and son Vincent work side by side creating exciting wines. They are at the forefront of exploring and developing new techniques with resistant grape varieties as well as continuing to produce outstanding wines from known varieties.
