Description;
A smooth, medium bodied Pinot Noir, with ripe red berry flavours and mild spicy aromas. The palate shows persistent rich cherry/plum flavours and mild spicy oak. Complex, sophisticated and subtle, with a silky texture and long finish.
Producer Profile;
Located in the picturesque Wairau Valley in the province of Marlborough, this family owned vineyard was founded in 1983 by Jane Hunter and her late husband Ernie. Since those early years, Jane had been owner, viticulturist and managing director of what has become one of New Zealand’s, most established wineries, Hunter’s Wines.
The grapes are source from over 100 hectares in the Wairau valley, with only the best quality grapes selected at all times. All of Hunter’s vineyards are run under sustainable certification, meeting all requirements set out by the sustainable wine growing board of New Zealand, which further solidifies the wineries dedication to quality.
